Who would have thought that twin 20-year-old sisters from Minnesota would change the game of the eyewear scene? At the age of 19, with just a couple of bags and big dreams in tote, Coco and Breezy took the dive and moved to New York City. They hoped to expand their upstart, fashion-savvy eyewear brand, aptly named Coco & Breezy. And expand they did. Coco & Breezy has become one of the most talked about eyewear lines in the industry. Their futuristic shades have been spotted on the likes of Ashanti, Kelly Osbourne, Ciara, and Nicki Minaj. And they've graced the pages of The New York Times, Vogue Italia, Paper, and Vibe. Their persona and brand image may at first appear aggressive, but don't get it twisted. These twins are very down-to-earth. Behind their statement, blackout sunglasses—oft embellished with studs, slick strips of metal and chains—you find two sweet, ambitious ladies, turning their dreams into reality. We recently met up with the stylish twosome at a pop-up event for their "Wear-Able Art" accessories collection. A mix of 80s punk, metal coils and neon twists, this line marks a bold expansion into new fashion territory.
